The only remains of the great Montmartre abbaye , it is, after St-Germain-des-Prés and St-Martin-des-Champs, the oldest church in the french capital. Started in 1134 on the same lot of the basilique dedicated to Saint Denis, the full monument was finished during the same century.

he vault, arch and the nave have been rebuilt during the 15th century; the west Front, was done in the 18th century.
